Why did you decide come play to MAC?

I decided to join MAC for many reasons. I have heard great things about the organization, and liked what coach Gergely Majoross said to me. They will help me develop as a hockey player and with the transition into professional hockey. I have also heard many good things about the city of Budapest and I am excited to live there.

What do you expect in new season?

I expect a competitive league. There will be learning points for me as I go from the University Sports league to professional hockey in the Slovakian League, but I am excited for the challenge and looking forward to the season.

Do you have any aim in season?

My goal is to adapt as fast as possible to the European style of hockey and contribute to the success of MAC Budapest each game. As a team going into their second year in the league, a step forward is expected and I will do my best to help the team achieve that success.

What do you know about Slovakian league?

I know it is a very competitive league with many close games. There are lots of experienced and talented players in the league from all over the world. I look forward to exploring the different cities throughout both Slovakia and Hungary.

How can describe yourself as a player?

I’d describe myself as a two-way defenceman. I look after my defensive zone first and am tough for other teams to play against, but I also like to have the puck on my stick and be in control of the game where I can contribute on the offensive side as well.

You will play with your cousin Brance. What it mean for both of you?

It’s very exciting that we will get the opportunity to play together. We are very close and our family has gone through a lot together so it will mean a lot not just for the two of us, but the rest of our family as well to see us on the ice together on the same team. Did you two play together in past? This will be the first time we have ever got to play together.

It was one of the best seasons of my career, Marshall says. He fullfilled his goal with his contract in KHL

Last for season you played in USports. How good is this league?

USports is a great league that is beginning to get more of the recognition it deserves. Many players from Major Junior (WHL, OHL, QMJHL) in Canada move onto USports to play and it is a fast and skilled league where players can also work towards completing their University Degree.

What did you study?

I studied Business and just graduated this spring with my Bachelor of Management degree from the University of Lethbridge.

In 2013/14 you won WHL and M-Cup. Is it your best hockey memory?

I have so many great memories from hockey but I think that winning the Memorial Cup is my best. It was a great group of guys on our team in Edmonton and I am close friends with many of them still to this day. I hope for more championships and memories in my future in Europe.
