Why did you decide to come to play to Detva?

My decision to play in Detva was really just based on my experience with my previous team in the ECHL. Things weren’t working out where there and coming to play here in Europe has always been a plan of mine.

What do you think about quality of Slovak league?

The quality of the Slovak league roots in a very different style of play compared to North American. There are many very skilled players and teams that play a puck possession game. I am impressed so far.

How did you spend Christmas in Slovakia?

Me and my roommate BenBetker have spent our Christmas skiing up in northen Slovakia.

Detva i sa small town. Was it a big surprise for you, when you came?

Yes, Detva is a very smal ltown, it was surprising at first but everybody is so close and friendly. Reminds me a lot of playing for the Sarnia Sting back in junior in the OHL.

What is your personal goal/aim in this season?

I would like to just help out the team as much as I can. Provide offence and energy to the lineup every night. Do whatever I can to help Detva climb in the standings. But personally, I expect to score more.

Do you know some other guys from North America, who play in Slovak league?

Yes, I´ve played with JimmyMcDowell back in my first year of junior with the ErieOtters in OHL.

Can you say something about your last two season, when you played in AHL and ECHL?

Playing the AHL my first year really showed me how much it takes to play hockey at the highest level and being a true pro. Whether playing in the top leagues over here in Europe or North America. Just being in the best shape as possible and how important it is to compete every night you are on the ice.
