First North American guys with title on Slovakia were Canadian duo Brian Casey and Warren Norris with HC Slovan Bratislava, most successful Slovakian team in history. Ten years later won championship with same club again Canadian - Kevin Harvey.

In last three season won North American players every time. American Jamie Milam, who scored a winning shootout in sixth game of final, with Canadians Justin Baker, Matt Beca, Judd Blackwater and David Laliberté were celebrated in 2016 as a players of HK Nitra. This club won its first championship in history.

Next year won HC ´05 iClinic Banská Bystrica and it was also first time in history of this the club. Hero in the net was American Jason Bacashihua, most productive defensman Mathew Maione was part of the first D-line with Ty Wishart and in the offence was one of the most productive players in the season 2016/17 Jordan Hickmott. Great effort made most productive players of the play-off Brock Higgs or back-up goaltender Nathan Lawson.

"Rams" won next year their second consecutive championship with defensmans Steven Delisle, Guillaume Gélinas and Nick Trecapelli, forward Josh Brittain, fantastic skilled-skater Cason Hohmann or "twins" from the first line, who are Éric Faille and Guillaume Asselin. Faille was most productive player of the play-off and Asselin second. In final´s game seven against Trenčín, which Banská Bystrica won 5:1, Faille scored two goals and added three assists.

In this season (2018/19) is HC ´05 iClinic Banská Bystrica first finalist. Their opponent will be HK Nitra or HKM Zvolen. Second game os semifinal serie will play in friday (5th april) at 6 am. Final serie will start in tuesday (9th april). If Banská Bystrica will win a championship, then Brock Higgs, Éric Faille and Guillaume Asselin can become a first North American players with two "rings" in Slovakian league.
