The highlight of the game was the fight between Czech defenseman Martin Dudáš and Canadian forward Eric Selleck taking place just a couple of seconds before the end of the first period. Dudáš, who was keen to fight, aimed at Selleck who had already gotten one 10-minute penalty, thus not being willing to take off his gloves: "I didn´t know with which tourist I had a fight. They have them a lot," said Dudáš after the game.

"Nothing extraordinary happened," he continued: "I had to react, because he hit to our goaltender," talked Martin Dudáš about the most emotional moment of the game.

HC Košice had a lead 1:0, but Brock Higgs came with equalizer in second period and then celebrated ahead of the opponent´s fanbase: "It was a symbolic thing. To be honest, it does not mean anything," admitted Higgs.

Winning goal was scored by Michal Kabáč, who scores against Košice very often: "When I scored, I fought for it. Most important are three points," said Kabáč.

One of the best performances of the night belongs to the goaltender of Banská Bystrica, American Stephon Williams: "I had a little bit of luck, but I felt pretty good and my teammates helped me a lot," he added.
